No, sorry, hehe, I am not talking about the famous love song. This is the title of a Korean drama I've watched recently. For those who considered themselves a Korean drama fan, probably will shout or gasp in protest right about now. Yeah, I know, I know, this is an old drama. Well, maybe using the word "old" would be too extreme. After all, this drama was played in Indonesian television not so long as two years ago, perhaps? I don't know, I haven't been a TV freak lately, not with all of those "sinetron" polluting my TV screen. Sorry, but sadly it's true.
Anyway, back to the drama. This drama was famous with the title Endless Love (EL), while in the VCD you will read the title as Autumn in My Heart. I read the Korean title Ga El Dong Hwa if I am not mistaken, but don't understand the meaning (=Autumn Story??) I'm afraid I have not yet a good Korean dictionary.

The story was mainly about three characters, two girls and a guy. Yun En So (girl) and Yun Jen So (guy) was raised as brother and sister, a VERY close brother and sister if I may add. Lord knows the only brother-sister relationship I had was he eating all my share of chocolates or snacks and he calling me names. Never was a heartfelt conversations, or anything as close as to a conversation actually. Hahaha. Anyway, ever since the drama starts, the story was built on how dependable En So was to Jen So. Jen So was a cold/cool type of guy at school who enjoyed lots of attentions and love letters from the girls, but when it comes to En So he will be very protective and caring. After an accident, the Yuns found out that their baby daughter had been switched by mistake at the hospital. En So was actually the daughter of Cui family, while her school rival (pictured to be a spiteful, incapable to love, and brutely ambisious girl), Shin Ae was the real Yun's daughter. Both families was in shock. Later on, the Yuns moved to the states leaving heart broken En So in the care of Shin Ae former mother.
Years after that, Jen So returned to Korea to find En So and tell her that he will be engaged soon. Duuhhh!!! This is what I loathed about this Jen So character, I mean he certainly had feelings for En So rather than just pure brotherly love, but in denial all the way. Puhleaseee, he shouldn't go and get himself betrothed in the first place. And then after En So admit that she LOVES him, he easily dumped his fiancee. Just like that! Neat, huh?
I couldn't understand why there are people who complimented EL as a good romantic drama. But then again I never did pictured myself as a sappy movies' fan. Song Hye Gyo shed tears ever since the first screen. Not even a single episode wasted without seeing her crying and exploiting her melancholic cute face. I was very dissapointed because I like her so much playing as Ji En in Full House (played with Bi Rain). Speaking about her face, is it just me or she looked a little different in EL. A little plastic surgery, perhaps?
I have been so-not-into the story, so when the drama came to the part when the audience should be shedding a lot more tears, I laughed. The part was when En So woke from her dying bed to look out from her window, and saw that the tree that was planted in the front of the house had been lighted with numerous small lights (supposedly to become a beautiful illumination). Under it was a beautiful white dress and Jen So standing in his black suit. The hilarious part was my heart was kind of missing a beat because I thought the white figure under the tree, was actually creature from other world!! Sadako from Ringu or Kuntilanak herself! If I was En So, instead of bursting tears of joy I probably would drop to the floor and died because of a heart attack!!! HAHAHA...
Right now, you probably thinking that the saddest part was the fact that I actually watched this drama until the last episode. Hey, you can't blame me. The OST was quite nice. And I have another very good reason for this. Tae Seok-oppa!!! This love rival for Jen So was played by Won Bin. And I dare say that looking his face on my screen will make me a very forgiving audience for ANY drama at ANY time!! ;-p
