TV Series: American Idol (The Final)

Soul Patrol!!!

No need to tell all of you, the American Idol show’s fans, how’s the final. As many had predicted, Taylor Hicks won the contest, leaving Katherine McPhee to be the runner-up. I watched the final at TV without any regret or happy cheer, since my emotions have already been sucked away the day Elliot Yamin lost the vote ;-p

Well, the anticipation came back temporarily when Elliot sang again! Man, I really loveeee his voice. Oh, that and when Clay Aiken showed up unexpectedly and sang “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me…” with his magnificent voice (not so sure about his new hairdo, though). Usually when a celebrity makes an appearance like that, it means that he/she’s making a promotion of some kind. I hope this mean Clay’s second album will be available soon.

The show was awesome because the stage was filled with so many well-known artists. Al Jerau came and sang with Paris. Mary J-Blige with Elliot. Tony Braxton with Taylor. The disturbing performance was Katherine with Meatloaf. Man, what’s with the red handkerchief, uncle? (terjemahan bebas dari: Ehm, saputangan merah itu buat apaan sih, Oom?) I gawked while watching him sang, and when I turned my head I found that my sister had the same expression on her face. Hahaha. The man was trying to put an all-serious singing and the expression of putting-your-whole-emotion-into-the-song, but what came out was (sorry…) a scene where a big man having a seizure. While Chris with his favorite band, Live, was “only okay for me, doug.”

Anyway, congrats, Taylor the silver fox!!!
